Concerts

Saturday, 5 April - Haydn's Nelson Mass and Vaughan Williams 'Serenade to Music' and 'Towards the Unknown Region'
We shall begin learning music for this concert in September 2007. We shall of course perform these with full orchestra and soloists.

MIDI files for the Nelson Mass are to be found here on the Cyberbass site

I have found and adjusted a MIDI file for 'Toward the Unknown Region' which you will find here. Beware! There are long gaps in the file where the orchestra part is missing.

A set of MIDI files for the 'Serenade to Music' may be found here.

Saturday, 14 June - Bach's Ascension Oratorio, Handel's Zadok the Priest and Parry's I was Glad / Last Night of the Proms Finale
Our aim for this concert is to stage good choral music which we can enjoy and feel confident singing whilst mostly known to our audience.

Chris in the basses has kindly provided a set of MIDI files for the Bach:

Reflexology

Siobhan Elliot is a member of EDCS, and a professional reflexologist.  Siobhan's practice is based in Egham.  She would like to offer a 10% discount off full treatment prices to EDCS members.

Reflexology is based on the principle that the feet mirror the human body.  Every organ and part of your body has an equivalent reflex point on your feet.  Like acupuncture, reflexology is concerned with helping the flow of vital energy (chi, ki, prana or whatever you prefer to call it) in the individual.  By gently manipulating the reflex points a reflexologist aims to restore balance and well-being to the individual physically, emotionally and mentally.  Many people use reflexology to help them relax, combat stress and maintain health and well-being.  Stress, anxiety, digestive problems eg IBS, backache, women's problems and sleep problems are just a few of the conditions reflexology may help to alleviate.  People of all ages enjoy reflexology, and find it extremely pleasant and relaxing to receive.  Even tiny babies seem to love it!  Please visit www.at-one.uk.net to read more.
