Welcome to Egham Choral
Egham Choral: a choir for all singers
Egham Choral, based in Runnymede, is a friendly, un-auditioned, choral society, with a full social calendar. We welcome new singers in all voice parts and sing a wide range of music, from classic and modern choral works to fun short pieces. If you are interested in joining us, please feel free to pop along to one of our rehearsals. We rehearse on Mondays at 7:30pm in the United Church of Egham, High St, Egham, TW20 9EX (Egham High Street, opposite Iceland).
The choir holds three annual concerts and our Spring concert is accompanied by professional orchestral musicians. Hugh Beckwith has been our Musical Director since September 2023 and during rehearsals, we are accompanied by well-known local pianist, David Darby, who is celebrating 50 years with Egham Choral.
We’re excited to be performing Mendelssohn’s rousing work, Elijah, on 18th April 2026, at 2.30pm in the recently renovated Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, Harvest Road, Englefield Green, Egham, TW20 0QR. Tickets will be available from our Box Office shortly.
We are also holding a workshop on Saturday 7th March 2026 at Strodes College in Egham, so please join us! Costs are £20 for a single singer, £75 for a group of 5, £5 students (all incl. music hire), audience free. Tickets available now!
Our performances are generously supported by The Humphrey Richardson Taylor Charitable Trust.

About our most recent concert:
Summer 2025: Egham Choral presented A Summer At Sea
On Saturday 12th July 2025, we presented a range of water-themed songs. The programme included:
O Radiant Dawn (Macmillan), The Hills (Ireland), My soul there is a country (Parry), Sea Fever (Ireland, arr. Prest), Songs of the Fleet (Standford) and Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo (Flanders & Horovitz).
We had the pleasure of being accompanied by pianist Emelia Noack-Wilkinson and our soloist was bass singer, Geoff Clapham.
We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who helped to make the concert a success including our catering team, front of house, and everyone who helped on the day. As ever, huge thanks to our Music Director, Hugh Beckwith, and our accompanist, David Darby.
Very many thanks to our audience for their generous donations; together we raised nearly £100 for the River Thames Boat Project.
