Come Along!
Feel free to just come along to one of our rehearsals – you can be assured of a warm welcome. We also hold regular Open Rehearsals which are geared to give you a taste of choral singing. Use the contact form to get in touch or register here for our next Open Rehearsal (September and January).
We’re a sociable and determined group of singers of all ages who carried on singing throughout 2020 & 2021 despite lockdowns, and outdoor rehearsals in the rain! We organise regular concert outings, and pub evenings. There are no auditions to worry about and someone in each voice part is designated to welcome you and look after you in your first few weeks. Where and When?
We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm – broadly following school terms. The rehearsal venue is usually the United Church of Egham (UCE), High Street, Egham unless otherwise stated. UCE is an accessible venue with a ramp and wide doors. There is plenty of parking nearby, and it is a short walk to Egham rail station and local bus routes.
Our 2025-26 Autumn rehearsal schedule is:
- September: 8th, 15th (Open Evening), 22nd, 29th (AGM)
- October: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
- November: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
- December: 4th (Thursday rehearsal), 8th

Who are we?
We’re the founding choir of Egham and District Choral Society, have been based in Egham since the 1970s and were established in 1953. We perform at least three concerts a year (with professional orchestral accompaniment for the Spring concert which distinguishes us from many other local groups). We raise money for music-related and local charities at all our concerts. In recent years, we have raised money for Runnymede Foodbank, The Cheryl King Trust, KatCanDo and Help Musicians. We work with other local groups, including The Egham Band (Rutter’s Gloria December 2022) and local state schoolchildren (Manocroft School and St.Jude’s, and benefitted enormously from input from Royal Holloway Music volunteer students who have rehearsed with us, led sectional rehearsals and worked with children involved in our Wassail! concert.
Membership Fees:
Egham Choral Membership is £220 per year for full members (2025-26). Payment can be made in two instalments for full members. Student rate is £10 per term (incl PG students). It includes music hire, attendance at rehearsals and participation in three concerts.
